Only one thing to say...."Offsite backup is the way to go". It's simple. In the “old” days, we used tape drives of enormous potential (and price) and relied upon someone to switch tapes out. Then we relied on someone else to take the tapes home as there is no real reason to keep your only backup in the office if the building burns down. Then we hoped that the person who took the tapes home wouldn't lose them, sell them, use them for personal gain, or worse sell them to a competitor. So to cut down on this, paranoid business owners would perform this function themselves. The answer is ----> Yes!!! There is something easier and it is offsite backup. All companies have some form of Internet access, so why not make better use of that Internet access by using it as a medium to transfer your critical files to an offsite server location. By doing your backups via an offsite backup plan, you will reduce the need to depend on someone to switch out tapes, take the tapes to a secure offsite location, and more importantly keep the information confidential. Of course, any company always has the option of paying for the tapes to be picked up and stored offsite. This overall cost is quite often more expensive than a simple offsite backup solution. HTML clipboardPaladin Intellects offers a complete offsite backup solution that allows your data to be backed up, keeps historical versions of the files, and is very affordable. You are charged only for the space you use and there is an unlimited amount of space available to you. Please check out our offsite backup web page for more information.
