Term	Definition
PAT	Port Address Translation - Similar to NAT, however translates addresses on unique ports. This allows for one public IP address to translate multiple private IP addresses.
Physical Layer	The lowest layer of the OSI model that holds the most basic of networking equipment. Data found at the Physical Layer is called a "bit". the responsibilities of the Physical Layer are electrical properties, transmission media, transmission devices, physical topology, data signaling, data synchronization, and bandwidth.
